HLG’s insurance coverage practice group consists of Allan S. Hollander, Brian E. Kaufman, Justin A. Calabrese, Lindsay A. Padover, and Christopher J. Volpe.
The group has experience providing an initial analysis of coverage issues, handling coverage claims litigation, and everything in between. Our attorneys provide claims management and coverage recommendations, and represent insurers in litigation, when necessary.
Interpretation of contracts between an insurance company and their insureds can be very complicated and easily misunderstood by either side. This can bring parties into direct conflict when claims of defense costs or indemnification are made. It is important to have an attorney who is able to interpret these contracts in accordance with the law.
HLG attorneys have appeared in many actions defending insurance carriers against another’s claim for coverage and prosecuting actions on behalf of the insurance carrier seeking declaratory relief from the Court as to specific provisions of the policy of insurance.
